Sometimes I really have to search for my images, make 40 and use one. Wednesday was such a day. On other days everything is easy, falls into place just so. Like this leaf that I found on the window sill of my staircase in Vienna. It just lay there, waiting for me, perfect.

The Song of the Day is “Fallen” from Elvis Costello’s very quiet 2003 album “North”.

Why did not this image attract more comments? It's crisp juxtaposition of nature's fragility against its permanence is almost breathtaking.

40 shots and one keeper? Sounds like a good ratio to me... Mh, well, maybe only to me.
Anyway, I like the shot - it combines the autumn flavour that one sees in all journals, forums, blogs, etc right now with a different type of sourrounding. More "domestic".
