1763 - Intermezzo III

Finally the image for today, taken in the church of Loket, a breathtakingly beautiful small town near Sokolov.

The image was again taken with D300 and Sigma 8-16.

The Song of the Day is “JΓ‘ si to pamatuju” by JaromΓr Nohavica. Hear it on YouTube.

How do you like the Sigma 8-16? I thought about purchasing it, but ended up going with a Tokina 12-24 (excellent lens, by the way - very sharp). From the photos, it looks like Sigma may have a winner in this lens. Great photos! John

Pretty simple: it's the reason why I have not yet sold my D300 πŸ™‚ It's a wonderful lens. Not easy to use, but there are certain things that you can't do with any other lens.

Love the perspective on this! You've beautifully conveyed the immediacy of being there.

Ultra-wide πŸ™‚ Believe me, there is no semblance to what I saw. But then, ultra-wides are not intended to depict reality, they are intended to create illusions and to form impossible vistas.
