1784 - Birdland

I’m on a workshop in Rust, a picturesque small town at the shores of Neusiedlersee, a big shallow lake in the Austrian province of Burgenland, right on the border to Hungary. This is the morning view from my room. Lots of birds and pretty impressive if you ask me 🙂

The Song of the Day is “Birdland” from Patti Smith’s 1975 debut album “Horses”. Hear it on YouTube.

L'Insoutenable Légèreté de l'être ... 🙂 what a easy, lightweight, uplifting moment. I like that a lot. How much would I love to see a panorama shot, showing more of that little lake on the right side. cheers ®

Wouldn't have worked. Apart from the fact that 24mm was as wide as I could get, it is also the complete angle that was unobstructed. To the right and to the left the wings of the building would have been in my way. Otoh, the stork's nest on top of the hotel (literally!!!) would have been the best place, but alas ...
