I’m back in Vienna. It’s insanely late, so I have to keep this short.
I shot this image today in the afternoon, when I was on my way to Keutschacher See for swimming. It’s something we call a “rider”, a wooden rack, not very unlike a fence, that farmers use to dry hay. They have become very rare now and I expect them to completely vanish soon.
It’s again the Sigma 20/1.8 with post-processing in Capture NX.

Round bales of hay are wonderful sights to see for me, since around my area they're all rectangular.
But this image doesn't do anything for me. I'd like to see more of an environmental shot, showing not only the round bale but also the post or rod and how it's used to dry hay.

Always strikes me strange to see round bales of hay. I grow grass hay here too and we form in bales that are rectangle. I never saw how they dry hay with that thing. We let it lay on the ground and then a baler bales them. I love country life and your area looks so nice compared to high desert living.
