914 - Lay Down Your Weary Tune

OK, one more for today, then we are back to present.

This is another image made with Andreas’ (the other one) Tokina 16-50/2.8. Boy, this lens is heavy, but on the other hand, it feels really well balanced on the D300.

Chromatic aberrations are very tame, distortions are well controlled, and if I really need to make the crooked straight, it’s of course supported by PTLens. It’s not really necessary though. I didn’t care to correct them in this image, regardless of the multitude of straight lines. Looks pretty good to me.

Btw: the blur and the vignette were added in post-processing. Just in case you wonder 🙂

The Song of the Day is “Lay Down Your Weary Tune” from the Bob Dylan compilation “Biograph”. Hear it on YouTube.

These bicycle images of yours always have such wonderful colors. I recently purchased the Sigma 24-70mm and love it though 16mm wide end would be much better. Can't wait to see more images.

Well, that lens has a problem. It's stuck at 20mm on the low end. Don't know how that can happen. It must have worked at a time, because Andreas has images with 16mm in the EXIF data, only now it stops at 20 and I don't want to use force.
