1046 - You Got The Silver

I’m still not ready for a bicycle book, but we’re getting near Ted, we’re getting near 🙂

This is a Monday morning image. It took it with the Sigma 150/2.8 Macro, that fabulous lens that I have not used in a year because it is so heavy. There is a tremendous amount of isolation, helped along with judicious use of Topaz Detail on the bicycle only.

The original color image had two strong colors on the frame, yellow and dark blue. While this didn’t look bad at all, I found the colors to distract from the bold, simple lines. Thus the conversion to B&W.

The Song of the Day is “You Got The Silver” from the classic 1969 Rolling Stones album “Let It Bleed”. Hear it on YouTube.

If I thought that buying the Topaz and Snap Art plug-ins would ensure my producing images comparable to yours, I would have to lock up my credit cards before viewing your site. Fortuntately, I know that the embellishments provided by the programs aren't the essential ingredients of your work. Still I admit that I am tempted. Is the silver tone from Topaz, or is it applied after you are done with the plug in?

No, the tone was made with a set of toning actions that I once downloaded from http://epaperpress.com/

This is the site that hosts PTLens, but these toning actions are seemingly not available any more. Sorry.
