1288 - Swift As The Wind

This morning I found a twig with blossoms in front of a lamp outside a shop. Everything was moving in the wind. Not much, but these blossoms are pretty small and I had to come very near with my Sigma 150/2.8. It took me about 50 exposures until I had one with the desired framing and the sharpness where I wanted it.

Apart from that, I called my camera dealer, innquiring about the Tammy. It is in repair and it’s suppose to be back by mid-week. I don’t miss it that much on the streets of Vienna, but it is incredibly handy on weekends. After all, weekend trips, that’s what I bought it for in the first place. Anyway. I’ll await it 🙂

A very beautiful image and the composition really works. I've also noticed that the Sigma 150/2.8 is a challenging lens when working with a large aperture and small target. But when you nail the image the end result is often breathtaking.

Love the oriental fragility here, like an ink drawing. Re. your lens withdrawal... I pulled out my not-recently-used Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM this AM. It was early, but bright yet I was in the city's canyons. Set the ISO at 330 and started harvesting street portraits. Without chimping the images closely. Bad idea... Managed to get, um, really creative blurs. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Yes... yes... it is a very good idea to either voluntarily or involuntarily go the bench and pull out the least used players. Especially when they can perform as you've managed here.

This is beautiful. Love the receding S-curve, harmonizing background color, and triangle of sharpness. Don't know what they are, but they're blooming here too and I've been trying to capture. Delete, delete, delete... It's encouraging to read it took you so many attempts on just one possibility to convey this beauty.
