5699 - Orvieto XXXI

2022-05-27

Back to more details of the facade. The first time I’ve seen a church made of two-colored stone, it was San Michele in Murato on Corsica, in another lifetime, decades ago.

Completely different size and style, one a rural church in the middle of not-very-much, the other the cathedral of a rich city. Nevertheless, the similarities are there.
