It was already late. The image timestamp is 17:33. On the other hand, I always miss the transition from wintertime to summertime and vice versa. My camera might have been an hour off, one direction or the other.
The funny thing is, none of the expensive “photographer’s cameras” automatically set the correct local time. All have a built-in WiFi module today, thus the hardware is available. Weird, huh?
Sure, you can connect to an app on your smartphone, but the process is messy.
Which reminds me to upgrade my OM1 MkII to the latest firmware version 😁
I’ve done just that, and yes, the app also syncs the time automatically, and it does so every time the camera is connected. I’ve also updated the OM1 MkI used by my wife. It took me a while until I realized, that to switch cameras, I have to restart the app. Of course, that’s not mentioned anywhere 😛
So I just have to develop a habit to use the app. Oh, well!
